It’s another top-25 showdown for Tide Hoops, as the 17th-ranked Crimson Tide head to Knoxville riding a scorching-hot seven game winning streak to take on the 22nd-ranked Vols of Tennessee. To that point, something has to give in this one, as Alabama will put its current SEC win streak up against Tennessee’s active five game winning streak over the Tide. Rick Barnes’ squad prevailed against Nate Oats’ group back in January, but Alabama was missing two of its best players in Aden Holloway and Amari Allen, who will both be back tonight. Labaron Philon is expected to suit up as well.

There are a ton of SEC and NCAA Tournament implications in this one – a win in Knoxville will pretty much lock-up a double-bye in Nashville with Vandy losing to Kentucky earlier, and it will also go a long way in procuring a protected seed in the Big Dance as well. Regardless, it’s a day that ends in ‘y’, so it’s a great day to beat the hell out of Tennessee.

Roll Tide, folks.
